We look at the news and we say,
"Look, there's another mass shooting."
And we tune out the words spoken
As the mess is laid out on the screen,
Lifting our heads only when
We hear the emotions and the
Cries of those who lost others
Because they pull at our heart strings.
We look at the news and we see
Another bloody mess and death
Caused by whatever excuse is given.
Religion, politics, even preferences.
We've become numbed by the sheer
Amount of violence that occurs.
This numbness does not simply affect
The viewers of the news;
The innocent and worried.
It numbs the mind of those who
Would have never carried through
With such violent actions.
We must never forget those
That have fallen to violence.
Nor must we forget that we
Cannot make violence commonplace.
We cannot numb our children and
Our brethren to these actions.
For every action, there is a consequence.
We should never allow a war to start -
Because the cost is always paid in blood.

Dream #1
So this dreams starts off that I went to a store with Jamie (friend) and his dad, but there was no significant dialogue to remember. We went to a small shop that sold all kinds of things, from soap to used "ds" games. I didn't know the name of the store, but I did know that my art teacher and my teacher from fifth, sixth, and seventh grade was working there with someone else that didn't look familiar. For some odd reason I was really tired and was unable to keep my eyes open, but after awhile I had infinite energy but by then Jamie and his dad had bought what they came here for.
After that I don't remember seeing their vehicle, it just tr

Hey grams!! You there?? You'll never guess where I am. I bet you would be too scared. HA!
Ugh, Felix please, it is far too early for this nonsense. What do you need.
Wow, chill gramma. Can't I message you just to talk? You're missing out on some pretty cool stuff. So I found this really neat place.
It's like an amusement park in here. There's all sorts of game stands with prizes just waiting to be grabbed!! But the weird thing is I can't find nobody.
Think everyone ditched because this place is so lame. You should come out. They have a stand where you try and throw water balloons at a target. ;)

Blooming Dream
Wandering in my thoughts and lingering in my heart is a simple field of van go’s design in which a beautiful maiden wanders like a glowing pearl amidst a sand of sunflowers. Playfully she hides amongst the flowers, comes up behind me and catches me in her embrace. Slowly I turn only to hold an image of you…As I loose this image to day I can only smile for your memory still holds me in its embrace. The pain of losing you in a moment but gaining your visage has caused me to tremble deeply for I realize it was only a dream but what a glorious thing I felt, the warm sun was beating down on me from above as a playful breeze blew the po

I saw something in the news today, while walking through the halls before leaving the house. It was obvious some form of violence had taken place, but when isn't it? Until my husband brought to my attention that a friend had posting on social media what was going on, I had no idea what had happened. Isn't it sad that we become immune to such things? For such events to happen so often, people can say that while a surprise it was this place, or these people, it might as well have been expected?
The latter part of this is something of my own beliefs, however. We can use any excuses we want as to why someone does these things. I'm not saying mental health is always the case, but I am also a huge advocate for us actually identifying instead of stigmatizing mental conditions. Someone with a psychotic mind can still rationalize what's right and wrong, but something that causes their morality to shift can set them over the edge. I'm not the only one who's inadvertently grown numb to these events. If we do not recognize the consequences, if we do not help those who need it, and it we keep making needless violence so commonplace, things are not going to get better.
My heart goes out to the families who have lost members to violence, especially in Orlando right now, and to those who have been injured.
