I have 12 invite codes for toyhou.se
They're up for trade right now since I've been paying for premium just for codes, but that might change eventually.
If you want to trade art, I can link my OCs :3

If you know an under-exposed, active writer here at dA that has had an account for at least 3 months and has under 300 watchers, you should suggest them for the Expose an Unknown Writer event over at CRLiterature.

:bademoticon: Once a week, I will feature based on a theme, usually pieces I enjoy pulled from the newest and undiscovered sections.
:bademoticon: I will also mention and feature my newest watchers, and possible some of my newest watches,
:bademoticon: I will feature work and events from the groups I admin in.
:bademoticon: And, I will feature a group I've recently joined.

Since the feature is named after Wonderland (as is my username), I thought it would be appropriate for the first week to be so.

Blanks of passion“You are a manipulative bastard.”
Jessica tried to infuse as much derision as possible with her accusation, before bursting into tears.
“I like to think of myself as an outcome engineer.” He smirked from the corner of his lip.
Jessica’s body trembled. Her eyes started to turn glossy as tears dived from them straight into her cheeks. Dark trails of eyeliner followed them. Her hands ventured to her rescue, to prevent him the satisfaction of seeing her more open, vulnerable.
Jensen held her by the golden chain belt that encircled her waist with his right hand. And pulled her closer.
“Stop it!”
“Very good Jess.” He said as his grip lessened, the gap between them widened.
“I hate you!”
“I know.”
She hated herself more for not meaning it, because it would have been so much easier to walk away with all the money. It would have been so much easier. But the manipulative bastard was right. The world didn’t belong

Literature CVil War - The Poetry TakeoverThe Winners of the May Prose Challenge
 thank you for your patience, first of all! This has been particularly hard to judge, as so many AWESOME entries were written. I was blown away by your creativity, by how you used the prompts I gave out, and weaved them into unique, unpredictable stories. :faint: you all did a great job, you all went out of your comfort zone and did something that maybe you wouldn't have done on your own. Thank you!
Now, the winner... C-A-Harland with:

C-A-Harland is well-known to me as an excellent writer, but here, I was amazed at the voice for the protagonist. It is so real, strong, believable and unique! It deserves the recognition. I also loved Mags.
And the runner up is origamizebra

origamizebra created a world in 500 words, a world that is funny, sad, and a future that is not ENTIRELY unbelievable. :giggle: Again, here, a very distinct voice was u

Character Diversity WorkshopThis week we are focusing on the topic of diversity and how it applies to your writing. For this article, your panelists from the week 1 Live Characterization Discussion Panel are back to share out views with you.
What are diverse characters, and what does it mean to have diversity in your stories?
DamonWakes
It’s hard to pin down exactly what diverse characters are because nobody, fictional or otherwise, can be diverse on their own. An individual character in a book might be considered to contribute to the diversity of fictional characters in general--by representing a minority that’s underrepresented in fiction as a whole--but whether or not the book’s cast is diverse will depend on who the other characters are and how they differ from one another.
It’s good for fiction as a whole to feature a diverse range of characters: it’s interesting to read about different characters
Appreciating JournalistsBeing new...
When you first start on DA, there's a large possibility, you've joined our amazing community to share your art and appreciate that of others.
The easiest and without a doubt fastest way to do so, is by using browse. It might take you a while before you discover the groups you can watch and join. It's the perfect way to find yourself exposed to different styles of art, by many different artists.
Once you've started watching deviants and groups, you'll quickly discover a part of DA you might not have found searching by yourself. The awesomeness that are journals and features.
Journaling is sharing
Features bring something special to our community. The deviants who dedicate their time to create and bring you features, are the kind of people who do so because they care. They enjoy not only creating the features, but more so, the act of sharing art they've found lurking in other people's galleries. Exposing those pieces

My Improvement

4 min read
I love seeing people improve throughout the years, so I tend to enjoy when members post improvement memes up, showing a comparison of the then and now. There are plenty of old pieces that I'd love to rewrite, but I lot of what I worked on back in the day wasn't a short piece but rather my next aspiring novel project. It makes it difficult to try and rewrite to show improvement.

However, I did come across these old pieces, something I did four years ago.

It's amazing what four years time can do to your writing. I was so proud of this back in the day, but it needed so much work. I can't believe I used the first few lines to explain technology, in a diary, to those of the past. Or basically used the first entry to info-dump.

Granted, I still love the idea of both Heaven and Hell choosing the same avatar, without realizing it, so that's a plus.
